Different Cardiac Disorders that Occur While Sleeping

Cardiovascular diseases include hypertension, high blood pressure, varicose
veins, heart valve diseases, and coronary artery. It is often asked whether we
can relate cardiovascular diseases with sleep disorders. Most of the cardiac
disorders that occur while sleeping are because of different sleep disorders.
Sleep disorders make a person prone to numerous diseases but the dangerous
of all is the cardiac problem that may result due to the sleep apnea. In sleep
apnea, the person is not able to breathe properly and smoothly because of
obstruction in the airway. Studies show that people suffering from the problem of
sleep apnea are at higher risk of cardiovascular diseases than normal people
are. Cardiac disorders that occur while sleeping include the risk of heart attack.
Men in their early 20’s as well as in their late 20’s need to have a screening test
for sleep apnea as the studies show that this age group is more prone to heart
related ailments than the general masses.

It is possible to reduce risks of heart attacks and other cardiovascular diseases
by adopting a normal sleep cycle and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Sleep
apnea can result in ischemic heart disease. This disease occurs because of
reduced blood supply to the heart muscles. Sleep apnea can result in cerebral
infection in which blood clots in the brain are formed. Half of the sleep apnea
patients suffer from high blood pressure and generally are not able to control it. It
is found that snoring is not the only factor that supports the cause of heart attack
and other cardiovascular diseases but snoring that occurs with sleep apnea is a
root cause. Cardiac disorders that occur while sleeping also include cardiac
arrhythmias in which person experiences abnormal heartbeat rhythm.

To maintain a healthy heart, a person needs to add some exercises in his
schedule like walking, jogging, and cycling. Exercises create energy in the body.
They are not just the enemy of disease but also help in proper sleep. A person
feels relaxed and thinks better after exercising. Anyone suffering from sleep
disorders may visit a doctor as they may suffer from cardiac disorders that occur
